The Pennsylvania Educational Research Association (PERA) is one of the oldest and largest state-level professional educational research organizations in the country. It strives to be an active force on the educational scene in Pennsylvania.
Two ways that PERA serves Pennsylvania educators is through the conduct of conferences and the dissemination of publications. An annual fall conference provides a forum for discussing a wide range of research findings and related policy issues. One-day "drive-in" conferences in the spring focus on single-topic research issues. Annual research grants are offered for graduate students. The PERA newsletter, PERA-SCOPE, is published twice a year to inform members and selected others about relevant research issues and news.
