The Pennsylvania Educational Research Association (PERA) is one of the oldest and largest state-level professional educational research organizations in the country. It strives to be an active force on the educational scene in Pennsylvania.
Two ways that PERA serves Pennsylvania educators is through the conduct of conferences and the dissemination of publications. An annual fall conference provides a forum for discussing a wide range of research findings and related policy issues.One of the papers presented at the fall conference is selected as Pennsylvania’s Distinguished Paper for presentation at the AERA Annual meeting. Annual research grants are offered for graduate students. The electronic PERA newsletter, PERA-SCOPE, is published monthly to inform members and selected others about relevant research issues and news.
